Typography Resculpted
2013
As a university student, I undertook a typography exercise focused on resculpting typographic forms using paper. This project allowed me to explore the physical aspects of type design, transforming traditional typefaces into three-dimensional shapes. I began by selecting typefaces that would best showcase this transformation, experimenting with various paper textures and weights. Through meticulous cutting, folding, and assembling, I created sculptural representations of each character. Multiple iterations helped refine the forms, balancing structural integrity with aesthetic appeal. The result was a series of unique 3D typographic sculptures, enhancing my understanding of typography and emphasizing the value of hands-on experimentation and iterative design.
